Sexually transmitted diseases (STD) are infective diseases that origin from bacteria, viruses, parasites or yeasts. They are transmitted by bodily fluids, most commonly by an unprotected sexual intercourse and various other sexual practices. This microbiological test is meant primarily for people, that work in the porn industry (actors/actress) and that are exposed to a greater risk of contagion by these illnesses. Risky behaviour during filming and multiple (filming) partners is what exposes a performer to a greater risk.

STD „BE SAFE“ test was developed solely by the requests and to fit well to productions, that check their performers, if their test results are valid, up to date and negative, which is essential for performers to be able to take part in filming.

Sampling procedure description

STD „BE SAFE“ Test is a kind of test, which includes a blood sample, a throat swab, rectal and cervical swab. To maximize capturing of pathogens, that cause this diseases, it is recommended to subtract to all of the tests.

A combination of all of these four kinds of tests among regular testing guarantees protection for you and your surroundings from these highly infective illnesses.

A blood sample is used to detect Hepatitis B,C; HIV; Syfilis. The swabs are used to detect Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae.

In case of antibiotics prescription we recommend to postpone the procedures at least 4 weeks after finishing the antibiotics intake, otherwise the validity of our tests might be compromised.

Discreet sampling centre is situated on this address: Malého 3, Karlín. 183 00 (Dům světla). The sampling for STD production will be provided by a partner organisation Česká společnost AIDS pomoc and results of the test samples will be provided by a partner laboratory of GHC Genetics s.r.o.

How do I get there using public transport?

By the subway or city tram (Florenc stop) and then it`s approximately a 5 minute long walk directly to the sample clinic, or by the tram to Karlínské náměstí, where the trams number 3, 8, 24 and 92 go, and then it`s a 3 minute walk. By bus to the Pernerova stop and from there it is approximately 1 minute walk.

What if the test results do not arrive?

Is it possible to pay by cash and card too?

Yes, there is a possibility to choose either one of these kinds of payments but if you choose to use a foreign currency, the payment is not available in cash.

Do foreigners have a different price?

No, the cost of this test is the same of everybody.

Can I get tested for individual illnesses and what is the cost?

No, at this moment you can only request this one test.

What does the following treatment look like?

In case of sickness, that requires us to report to the Hygienic institute of Prague, the treatment will be followed by specialised practitioners in the AIDS centre located in the same spot as the sample clinic.

Is the laboratory running on holidays too?

Yes, the results will again be obtained withing the guaranteed time frame (24 hours).

Is it possible to come unbooked?

No, in the app, while filling up the request you will see a calendar with free slots to book into where you can reserve a specific time, which is convenient for you and at the same time you eliminate waiting in a queue in the actual sampling clinic.
